Rather than always looking down at your phone in order to keep tabs on your loved one’s location, what if you could be notified when they leave or enter an invisible boundary? The good news is that you can be, with the Jiobit app! 

We call these invisible boundaries “Trusted Places,” and use them as the cornerstone of the Jiobit experience. These boundaries are established by custom “geofences” that can be set from a radius size of 100ft-800ft. 

Your Jiobit app will alert you anytime your loved one comes and goes from the designated Trusted Place. In addition, these designated “safe areas” you choose as Trusted Places will maximize Jiobit’s battery life while your loved one is within the boundary.

Benefits of Setting Up Trusted Places

The Jiobit app will prompt you to set up Trusted Places as soon as you pair the device. You may also add or edit Trusted Places at any time to take advantage of these benefits. 

Maximize Battery Life

When the Jiobit wearer is within the Trusted Place boundary (such as the home, school, etc.) the Jiobit goes into power-save mode and “rests” until the Jiobit wearer leaves the location or the connection is broken. Adding Trusted Places anywhere your loved one spends longer stretches of time at allows you to maximize the battery life of your Jiobit tracker. 

Get Notified 

Once there is movement outside of the Trusted Place boundary, your app is programmed to send push notifications and text messages to tell you that the Jiobit is no longer detected within that radius.  

We took it one step further to bring our customers even faster notification timing with the feature “Wi-Fi Fence”. Rather than selecting a manual boundary of 100-800 feet, the Wi-Fi Fence feature uses Wi-Fi signal strength to set the boundaries of your Trusted Place. Connect any Trusted Place to Wi-Fi for faster notifications and improved battery performance.

If your kids are anything like ours, they’re constantly on-the-go. Set up Trusted Places in these common locations to make sure you keep tabs on their whereabouts:

• Home 
• Vacation lodging such as a hotel, resort destination or rental house
• School 
• Grandparents’ house
• Babysitter’s house 
• After-school program 
• Neighbor’s house 
• Common playdate locations

Use Trusted Places to time out school bus pickup, when to expect them at home, and to keep eyes on your kids even when you can’t keep both eyes on them.
